Message from Father Theodore

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Welcome to the website of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church!

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another
in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

-Colossians 3:16

As Orthodox Christians, our lives are fixed upon our loving God and His Holy Church. This means committing our lives to Him not just one day a week, but all the time through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. In our commitment and love for our Creator, who humbled Himself to become man for our salvation, we gather together to worship Him as St. Paul instructed to the Colossians and as Orthodox Christians have done for over 2,000 years! In this way, we grow in communion with Him, with one another, with all of creation, which is what God desires for us: “that they all may be one.” (John 17:21)

We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings for the Orthros (Matins) service at 9:15 am, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:30am. After the Liturgy, we normally have fellowship in our historical Victorian house next to the Church with coffee and refreshments where we can share our lives with one another in Christian fellowship!

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions regarding the Orthodox Christian faith, Holy Cross Church, or any prayer requests you may have. May God bless you always!

In Christ’s love and service,

Father Theodore
